This book took a lot of courage to write for Arielle. ‘When Birds Sing’ is a memoir by Arielle Spring where she shares how she slowly worked her way through dealing with PTSD along with other issues. “When Birds Sing: My Journey from Trauma to Triumph” by Arielle Spring. Arielle shares her personal story of PTSD and her healing and thriving from trauma. In her book, she gives hope to conquer despair and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, along with how to move beyond being a victim of sexual, physical and emotional abuse. Arielle provides her coaching to PTSD victims below and her tips for self-care and self-love. Arielle from the beginning felt like she was left behind and she knew all that she wanted was to be seen by her mom, dad, and brother, but things seemed to get in the way. Arielle had a lot going for her and things seemed to always start out in school, work (jobs), and relationships, but it never fails that something goes South through no fault of her own. Arielle needs to find answers.

‘When Birds Sing’ would make a perfect book for social workers and counselors to use in group work or even individually depending on the particular issue(s). Maybe the readers will see connections in behaviors and maybe learn how to ask questions and help. Arielle has many questions, and she tries to find the answers by finding somewhat friends and forming relationships even though she has doubts about aboutat she is doing. Arielle tried many therapies and tests but still looking for the reasons why she feels the way she does. She asks the question in so many words- ‘What is wrong with me?’ This book could lead to some answers for all who read ‘When Birds Sing’ for it is quite inspirational for all seeking answers.
